Hi , my 500 has 3 codes I cannot cure . These all occured after I did a head gasket .( (Overnite the Jack holding the engine up crept down but I cannot see any wiring that would have been pulled )
One is P0220 Throttle / pedal position sensor / switch B circuit .

Next is P1850 which just says please refer to vehicle service manual .

Last one is P0615 .. sensor reference voltage B circuit/open .

Before I Touched the car it had no lights on so I am not sure if it's my doing .

Any help would be appreciated . Make it simple if poss as I am not that good on computers .

Hi Charlie , yes it is a 1242 fie engine .. I deleted other codes with a borrowed OBD reader but still left those on with the 2 management lights on plus the stop/start light . Plus I did remove the battery & mounting plate to check & clean the chassis earth points. . I was hoping someone may be able to tell me what the statements after the numbers mean as I don't know what sensor reference voltage B circuit/open .
The P1850 says refer to service manual , I was well tucked up when I brought the car with no log book & no books so can anyone enlighten me as to what the service manual says .
as I cant find find the P1850 code in the list I found .
Also I forgot to mention on th dash it says check engine & stop start not available ,

Thanks for your help & any future help .

Thanks John , will check the neutral position sensor & connector in the morning
Many thanks
Phil

Neutral sensor seems ok as do the connectors.
I am now trying to find out what is meant by sensor B reference circuit open on my code of P 0651 . Is sensor B a certain sensor . Or is it some generic phrase . I am near to selling it for spares or repairs but I really don't like being beaten .
Many thanks

See below for P1850 error. But, before you go there give the Earth strap that goes from body to gear box a tug and see if the strap is in good condition. See my recent post for more detail. If the engine ‘dropped’ when doomg the head gasket you may have put
Some strain on the strap and dislodged it. From reading a few posts here, a bad strap will cause all sorts of what look like electronic errors.

Fiat 500 P1850 Possible Solution :

The crankshaft sensor signals the fuel injection computer or the ignition control when the cylinders are firing. This causes the ignition coil to provide a spark and the injector to inject fuel into each cylinder at the right time.If either sensor isn't working correctly, the car will run rough and the engine will be less efficient. In later car models, the car's computer can usually keep the vehicle running, but the engine warning light on the dashboard goes on to warn the driver.
