General What did you do with your Panda today?

Just filled up the Panda to the brim and have recorded over 53mpg on this brim to brim (fuel right at neck) fuel up. Average now over 47Mpg on three fuel up's, well pleased :D

I have a round trip of 11 miles a day for work and not a traffic light in sight. All rural roads. So i can go in eco (a bit boring) .if i have a drop left by Saturday then the eco comes off!!

Hi.
Today I waxoyled the inside of the sills. There is a plug that you can remove that gives access, using the long flexible extension it's possible to reach just about the full length of the sill.
I also made a closure panel for the passengers side footwell, really cannot understand why the RHD versions are left with this missing.
I think I may ask one of those in a LHD country to et one for me and i'd pay the post etc for one.

Where is the plug in the sills?

Used mine on another house clearance day at my late Dad's :(

Finished it bar a few boxed up things to bring to ours.

Anyway, left the seats down for too long with the seat belt buckles pressing on the faux leather so now badly indented.

Not pierced so hopefully they'll spring back out!!

Hi.
There are rectangular plugs all along the sill under the car and also one at the bottom of the central door pillar. Also if you look under the box sections and strengthening sections have plugs too. Inject waxoyl into these areas after removing them.
One area to watch is behind the rear plastic undershield, the rear edge of the floorpan as it turns upwards had some very light surface rust which I treated and waxoyled.
Overall I'd say the car is well enough protected but it lived by the coast before I got it and some of the not so well painted areas needed a clean, treated and wax applied, now looks brand new underneath.

Dr Pandattone went to the shops to buy some guttering wearing his new bars on his roof. These fit and work well now I have freed the locks up, may be why they were on eBay on the first place. The keys needed filing to get rid of very sharp edges. Now smooth as silk. Pt passed 3000 miles today so must rest up for the next 12 days to get the average down. Have now spied a Brink detach towbar on eBay for £159 from a reputable supplier. I believe this is the same bar Fiat supply so quite a bargain. I am really enjoying the way this car handles. Like the Bravo is seems particularly good around fast roundabouts but for differing reasons. Tomorrow it will be his bath day!
