what bravo has the highest bhp??

if you're talking standard it's the mk2 HGT (155bhp)

yes defo standard

what about a jtd
why do people say its at times better then a hgt?

the top of the range jtd come standard with 105bhp, not as fast but with much better fuel economy. There are constant threads about modded JTD's vs HGT's - pointless really. If you wanna know more do a search, last thing we need is another one of those "mine is better/bigger/longer than yours" threads

standard is 155 but is that more realistic 140-145 as its not alway 155

how did lozz do 160-170

And.......

Nico's HGT is pushing 190-200bhp Naturally Asp. :)

Your Point Being Mr Anon???

The MK2 Bravo HGT has the most BHP than any other Bravo. In standard tune faster than any Bravo.

The Bravo/a JTD105 after a remap can peak at 150BHP. However, it has alot more torque than a HGT. If it wasn't for a gear change it would be faster 0-60.

The JTD100 after a remap can peak around 170BHP. Again has bags of torque.

People say clutches go after X miles, all untrue. You can destroy a new clutch in a few days if you wanted too. If you learn to drive the car differently and apply power at the right time it'll last just as long.

why you asking if you already have the answers? The easiest way to get that much power from a diesel is to chip it, but their are reliability issues with this increased power.

point being.... to get a JTD to 150bhp costs about £350...

to get to 170bhp... £350-500

to get any more from a HGT costs LOADS more money.

We all know the answer to this question tho.......

A bravo with a 20VT lump has the highest BHP!!!!!

and the award for most pointless thread ever goes to....spike/anon

"but their are reliability issues with this increased power"

there are JTD's out there which have been running over 130bhp for 30k miles on a clutch thats done 80k miles...that don't suffer from any slippage, nor have any engine issues either :)

NOT REALLY I WAS JUST ASKING AND NEED SOMETHING CLEARED UP PEOPLE WHO WENT OFF TOPIC ARE THE MAIN CULPRITS AS USUAL

"and the award for most pointless thread ever goes to....anon"

thought Spike started the thread????

Who cares how much it costs. You don't have to spend that much to increase the power of the HGT anyway. +50-60bhp safely from a NOS kit costing £450

To get 170bhp out of a HGT will only cost you £400-500.

Diesel get more torque BUT petrol get more revs.

I have to agree though and say 20VT lump then you can push 400bhp.

Or you could just get a Coupe 20VT as it would be easier and cheaper.

Or an Alfa GTV 3.2 V6 mmmmmmmmmm :)
Now I'm dreaming

I'm talking 50bhp+ increases mentionaed above, taking a 100/105bhp engine to 130bhp isn't that big a deal.

we're not going off topic, you asked questions and now a debate has broke out over the answer
