This is my email to them, did they print it all?

Dear Mr. Vollans,

Thank you for your article 'When did you last see a Fiat Panda'. My own answer to this would be, 'about twenty every day' as I am in the business of restoring/ modifying these great little cars.

It's very rare to see a Fiat Panda in the classic motoring press so when one does appear we in the classic Panda world get very excited. I hope that your article is an indication that the Panda is finally emerging in the classic car press as a serious classic car. From the amount of work I have booked in I know that this is already the case among an enlightened few, and from the reactions I get from the general public whilst driving my own Pandas around I can tell that appreciation for this brilliantly unpretentious automotive design is on the increase.

One particular Panda is close to my heart at the moment, a special edition Panda Pink (92). This Panda was bought last year by a group of classic Panda enthusiasts from 'The FiatForum' with a view to raising money at various car shows this year, this money would then be used to fully restore 'Pinky' as he is known. Once complete Pinky will then be auctioned in 2014 with the proceeds going to Breast cancer research and Children in need.

Pinky was shown at the NEC last November to kick things off and proved very popular but we need to keep him in the spotlight as much as possible in order to maximise donations, getting to the point now, anything you could do to help with this would be very much appreciated.

Could you please pass on my congratulations to Paul Guinness for his article, we found it to be factually accurate as well as a lovely summary of Panda ownership, he is clearly, one of us.

Best wishes, Vernon.

I guess this was thier way of giving Pinky a little publicity. :)

Over my considerable years I have come to discover that there are times when it is vitally important to do something futile or else become one of them.

One of 'us' means different things to different people but 'us' did something while the others looked on.:)

I think this is very profound... -- but I may just have had too much Thwaites (the beer of my hometown). Whatever: I agree wholeheartedly... -- it's why my motto has always been "Blatant. Not latent." :)

With this as a statement I reckon it ought to read FLATULENT and not BLATENT
