Getting very board with the punto now (to slow :( ) so i have being looking around at other cars, the one that has really caught my eye is the vauxhall astra coupe, can you guys help me by thinking of some other cars like it ( must be 2 door + be from 1,8 to 2.0 and carry 4 people easy) this is the astra coupe:

TBH on having run a fair few vauxhalls IME there fairly reasonable to keep runnig and reliable with it. okay maybe not the most exciting car but a start 1st time every time IME

thanks custard, thats what i was hoping for, the 1.8 16v will seem really quick compaired to my 1.2 punto anyway so that should excite me :)

Maybe not great for carrying people (and I know you specifically specified that) but a clio 172/182 would be nice and quick for you ;)

if you get one make sure the cambelt AND tensioners are done.think they redesigned the tensioners as they were falling to bits and causing major engine damage. might have been fixed by the time the coupe came out.

plenty of tuning options from the likes of courtney and regal

Think he's made up his mind already... What was wrong with the Stilo?

mrs has got one and i just dont think the build quality is great and it looks are a tad strange imo? also they do not hold the value as well as a vauxhall.

tuning?? going try and keep this one pretty standard, grown out of my modding stage, im getting old now you no, almost 22 :)

The astra coupe is a waste of space dude. My mate has the same model type u looking at and its just sooooo slow. Even the 2.2 is only 145 bhp and honestly his old 2.0 mondeo felt just as quick. Personally i would test drive one but there is a reason why the coupe is more expensive. As for running costs of the coupe...... if u buy a well maintained one then it wont cost u much to run. Esp when u look at what ur getting for your money to start off.
