Re: UT Restoration, New Thread. UPDATED 04/03/07 GEARBOX OFF!!! :-O
If I was doing this (I know I'm not

) then I would get the clutch underway now. Then it will be back when you are ready to go again. I find you are always waiting for someone else and thats why 20 hours of work lasts a year.
yeahm i know what u mean, trouble is, actually getting my box/clutch/fywheel down to him as its a 40 mile trip and only onpen monday through to friday, so getting down there is hard

well, we're back on track and started to do a few bits.
picked up my near mint 2nd hand mk1 boot off my mate who was storing it for me as mines got a massive crack up the middle of it which u could repair, but easier to source a good 2nd hand one.
as u can see its proper dirty as its been sat outside for ages apparently.
good old "Turbosystems" sticker! now thats oldskool hehe
anyone recconise the number plate? as this UT is now dead
lock, handle, plate, wiper, wiper motor, window, EVERYTHING stripped off it
number plate screw bits stick out......
......as do the handle area
after loads of sanding and prepping its getting there
managed to get the number plate holes and lock/handle area flat and well prepped ready for some filler and fibreglassing tonite hehe
not much really but its a start! plus it took me all evening lol
