Re: UT Restoration, New Thread, NEW SHELL!!!!! *updated 10/02/06*

How about a bit of Italian for your engine? Red cam covers, white head and red block :D

As for the inter/bumper/grill. I think the bumper cut off flush with the sides of the inter would look better than flimsy bits going across. Paint the inter the same colour as your car and it won't look so out of place. Mask the inter and spray FIAT across it in silver on blue..

Number plate looks good where you have it planned though.

I was going to comment that there wouldn't be room enough for that, but the intercooler is mahooosive, you'd probably be able to write war and peace on that backwards and the driver in front still be able to read it!

cheers for all your comments peeps :D

right, today it may not look like ive done much, but trust me, it was hard work and took bloody ages! i started to clean down the floor of the car!

this is what it looked like after all the sound proofing had been removed which me and my mate did a couple of weeks ago.

after alot of elbow grease and sanding and a little waft over with a rattle can, its looking alot better dont u think?

im still getting the engine bay seam welded, but the rest of the car will have to wait for another time, but its not hard to whip 2 seats and a cage out to seam weld the rest of the car! lol, just really pushing ot get it finished at the mo and get it on the road. will then get other bits and bobs done when i have the cash!

anyway, i started on the spare wheel well too!

25022006_002_.jpg

looking much better

and a quick snap of the floor as i left it (except i sprayed the spare wheel well in primer but forgot ot take a pic oooops!)

That floor is looking lush mate!! lol

Remember about the Sub-frame bolts that are welded to the shell inside the car......wet feet dont do them good. Damm passengers! lol

Have you kept any of the sound proofing crap?
bloody weighty stuff aint it!
