Hi everybody
I have Marea 1242 cc 16V 2001 saloon with single driver Airbag which is giving red light indicator in the dashboard always

I checked under driver seat found these 3 connectors as in attached image,

attachment.php

No 1 : connected black connectors
No 2 : Free wide white connector
No 3 : Free narrower white connector

while in the beside driver seat found only the No 2 Connector the white wide one as in image

1-so can you tell me what are these connectors 1 , 2 and 3 for?
2-is it ok to unplug the black connected one No 1 ?
3-which one of them is for Airbag diagnostic check ?
4-are these properly as in attached image or something is disconnected ?

Thanks in advance :)
Mamdouh

Thanks for the reply :)

As I know,my model has no 16 pin diagnostic port, but I have 3pin OBD under the bonnet with fuse box ...
I just ordered 3pin to OBD2 converter + USB ELM327 ,

As I know and you may correct me, Airbag diagnostic connection has another port separated from the 3pin obd..which what I'm looking for.

Another point ,Is it possible to have both 3pin obd and 16pin obd in the car same time?

Hi,
it's likely you have JUST the 3 pin under the bonnet,
see the Bravo/a section for lots of good 3-pin info,
charlie

Thank you Charlie,
for the 3pin OBD is ok and waiting for my parcel 3pin converter and the ELM327

but still had no clue about the Plugs under the seat as in photo 1 , 2 and 3
I need info about my inquiry ,
thanks in advance

Plugs under seat are:
Heated seat power
Electric seat power
Seatbelt closed switch

Driver has no seat sensors as drivers bag is always deployed. No need to waste sensor on that.

Thank you so much Neverth .
Highly Appreciated
so I see the black connected one is the seat Belt No 1
and the other 2 white plugs are seat and heat power ..

the plug No 2 exist is both seats , could be for Heating or for electric power ?

Thank you again :)

Power is normally drivers seat...same as height adjustable...

Only driver has height/lumbar adjust. The forward/backward/tilt is still mechanical on both seats
