Back with the questions.

Fitting the MF2, remembering that this kit was removed from a previous installation, and reading the guides, it seems that the wiring is taken all the way to the dash and back again.

It needs an ignition controlled supply, which I can get from the FI relay, and it needs an RPM sensor which I can get from the ECU wiring, so....

Why go all the way to the dash?

Cheers

wow im glad im not there to confuse things

I think most people tried to keep the units in the car as all the ones i've seen were in the cabin.. so not a proper reason...

Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick?

The pictures I have seen have had the MF2 and FCD under the bonnet, the MF2 needs a vacuum supply.

The instructions in the guides also suggest the units under the bonnets, but the various signals being picked up behind the dash, and the wires on the unit we have are long enough to go behind the dash, but burple has a posh dash I don't want to be stripping apart.

I shall go for the total under bonnet shot.

Alaina, do you want me to source a new battery, I don't want to attach things to the strut brace to have to take it out to get a new battery in later?

Cheers

Can bring the vac line into cabin, doesnt have to be on show, when i first got mine it was cable tied up to the metal bar running under the magazine rack? type affair under the baby changing shelf...

Kind of precarious to set up the MF2 under bonnet though would mean leaning over it while cars on the rollers on boost with a technician screwdriver in hand making minute adjustments, seems kind of impossible to me, but happy to be wrong :)

Just popping by anyway so thought 2c would be added :)

I'm with Alex on this one sorry!

The Sei had it in the passenger footwell under the carpet and didn;t have a vacuum line either

The Cinq tub had a vac line and was blaced in the cup holder place with a nice perspex cover to show the lights off.. don't think I have pics though
