Im going down a different route to free up top end rpm - basically i have a very restrictive exhaust because i get major boost creep with a free-flowing system (although felt a lot faster til hitting boost cut!). So atm it tails off after 6000.

Thats with a GT1549 compressor A/R .43; turbine A/R .34, 0.8bar at top end and 0.6-0.7bar through the rev range. 160bhp at 5800rpm last time it was RR'ed.

Im putting a larger external wastegate in with screamer pipe, so less gas needs to flow through the system, and hopefully should gain a few top end bhpz from the wastegate alone, and can put a less restrictive system on at a later date.

Anyways thats why i asked about boost creep.

Got mine done by a guy well known within the motorsport club im in.
its 2"bore stainless dont think there is any back pressure

2" downpipe, 1 3/4" straight midsection and supersprint backbox.

Changed the supersprint backbox for a custom hodge-podge of 2 1/4" pipe and backbox, and instantly started boosting over 1.2 bar at high rpm (lucky i didnt blow anything because the injectors were maxed out and running lean)
Changed it back the same night.
Funnily enough it never overboosted with the same backbox and a sports cat in the midpipe, but i exploded the cat with launch, fun times (y)
It felt loads faster, which is to be expected with that much extra boost i suppose... but better up top end as well.
so anyways EWG is whats happening next.
 
had a PCA (autotest) yesterday.
getting better at it now (half decent lock on the steering helps:doh:)
Came 5th in class and 9th overall (y)

almost put the car into a ditch on the morning as it was VERY damp and lost the back end on a very fast test.

Thanks to munkel for giving me the settings for launch control. had a lot of people coming over asking me to do it haha

uploaded a video on youtube of an charity event we had at the end of the day.
at the start of the video you can hear the launch control working :devil: (only real time I used it as it just caused massive wheel spin and lose loads of time)

 
can it be used as an effective way to remove tailgaters? :devil:

Oh, I always dream about something like that when some stupid dumbass sits on my bumber not realizing the power of my brakes and my will to do something stupid :devil:
 
it should or will be the sort of volume that if you stand behind it, it will blow both eardrums and feel like a kick in the chest from the pressure wave :slayer: Middle of town not reccomended... unless you know no cops are about!
 
I was watching the videos on youtube, there's a big sound difference, I suppose dued to the turbo changing, or it's simply different recording device?

By the way, big good job, love to see this stuff and work with my fantasy... When I'll have some money to start to spend, I'll start to bomb all the forum with specific questions about doing a turbo 1242 heheheh :D
