Tuning turbo time!

Tuning turbo time!

Comes to everyone in the end as I have said on loads of occasions, there are so many quick cars out there now that cost peanuts to buy and run and don't have you worrying about every little noise.

Projects are great fun but once you've achieved what you set out to then living with them can become a bore. I am getting that way with my MX5 now I have got it more or less where i want it and just keep tweaking the megasquirt to keep the interest. Next year I may do just the same an sell up and get a faster std car.

It's not for long; bought so my girlfriend can use it whilst learning to drive (she wasn't that keen on the Cinq, or the 170bhp VTS!). Once she passes, it's her car and I can get something more suited to my driving style. ehe :slayer:

Just let them try that on the P100!

The only good thing about all that was that it put in chain the dreaded MR2 project. The most annoying thing was that a few days before Blue 2 had gained a new level of performance with the Tricker borrowed from Imola Blue -- never had the chance to point it at a decent road (but got pulled for speeding twice in 3 days).

mate just tell them is a cinquecento can't go above 50!

If you did do 50 in a 30, then ya done big time :p

Was let off both times. If you're old and look responsible.............

The second time I was lucky in that the V70 had to turn round and couldn't get a real reading on me, only actually catching up to me after I'd been stationary for some time. Otherwise, despite the quiet road, no traffic, good visibility, and good driving (apart from excessive speed, according to the -- very nice -- policeman) I'd probably have lost my licence.

They are tough, though. Twas one of them that, upon being comprehensively outbraked by Blue 2, whacked it up the backside and into a traffic sign. There was barely a scratch on the Clio, while Blue 2 was pretty comprehensively fubared.

This is the reason I bought her a Clio, and not a Cinquecento/Seicento like my heart wanted to!

What is an s-body? Caterhams &co? Looking on google, jennifer lopez comes out :D

s13, s14, s15, 200sx/silvia. Probably the most easily tunable car in the entire world. Nearly every single component on the car has several off-the-shelf upgrades available, mostly pretty cheap too! Of course, that doesnt stop you from making your own upgrades even cheaper :p

most uk s13s are rotten/crap but theres still lots of nice s14s out there... :)

Busy looking for tips on putting Turbo on my Cinq and saw this thread. I ran an S14a for over 7 years (only took it to 250bhp) and sold it with 107k. Best car I've owned and never missed a beat. I would certainly recommend.
