Tuning turbo time!

looking at those pics the injectors are completly wrong for the fuel rail you may be using assuming the rail was designed for the other injectors.

The end will sit far to far away from the combustion chamber so the very fine spray will not be working correctly. Injectors are very sensative to this & those injectors are fitted very close to the combustion chamber.

You would be better getting original injectors cleaned & flow tested.

the injectors where ok non of the fuel was getting to the walls. Got the car running on them but not enough time to tune it right as i had an event the next day. Plan to refit them once the car is fully sequential injection

...What to do...What to do.... got a seicento abarth that im tempted to swap the running gear between it and the cinq.

I can then sell the white cinq and the trailer together while it is still mint. and have a sei that altho not as mint as the cinq... it will be a proper "sleeper"

id say flog the seicento and put the running gear into a 899 cinq shell as sei's are a bit girly or just swap over to un-painted bumpers:slayer:

also how can you live it Birmingham went through there today and it was just terrible :>

I've gotta agree, keep the cinq, this is a great car and all credit to you, seicentos are cool cars, but, I've gotta agree cinqs are cooler. is it an spi or mpi sei? the dark grey ones are the rarist coloured ones and abarths are even rarer. I only know of 1 mpi abarth in grey and thats zoe, ronnyronsons old one.

well the reason is the sie dont draw as much attention imho. no offence to anyone but it just looks like any other small car and itsjust a boring dark metallic grey.

where did you go through? i live off the A45 near solihul.

i went near kings heath on the main high street to the st dunsten

seen few cento's going about but all standard

KEEP THE CHINQ (y)

Dont let nobs like the tw*t who damaged it put you off your chinq! 99% of the people who see your car will apprecaite the amount of time and effort you have put into it. Theres always going to be that 1% that are jelous or just born idiots.

At then end of the day, your chinq is one of the best ive ever seen, especially with the addition of the "leach". It would be a shame to give up on that. Yeah its true driving a "special" motor WILL get your more attention, and sometimes it will get you a bit of bad attention like in your case, but think of how many POSITVE bits of attention you have got in the chinq compared to the BAD.

PLUS thats assuming that the car you were driving had ANYTHING to do with what was going through that nobs head. If i had pulled up in my "bog standard" punto he may have done the same.

At the end of the day, if your getting bored of the chinq or want a new project then go for it, but if its just because of this incident, then id say, stick with ur awsome chinq!

Alan

Thanks Alan.
The amount of time and work me and dad put into the shell is the main reason i wouldnt get rid of it.

Arc:
Yeh some skum bag threw a stone at my car while waiting at a junction. when i turned round to see what it was her (one of them) ran over and kicked the side of my car (just above the arch behind the filler cap)

Looks like its time to start carrying that 3foot "breaker" bar.... you know... the "breaker" bar that you need to carry just in case you need to loosen a stubborn "nut" you come across on the odd occasion ;)

got another 75 engine.

80k but its mint (might be a new engine in a car thats got 80k on it)
bores are like new. head looks mint.

stripped it down and found that crank bearing caps are not like any other 75 engine ive seen.(only difference that non of my other engines had is this engine had A/C)
they are not made from cast iron they are made of the more modern metal, same metal they use for modern conrods (like the 16valve rods)

here you can see the oil feeds for the piston cooling oil squirters found on the 75 engines. they seem to have a ball-bearing check valve built into them (at least thats what it looks like.)

Shells fitted

pistons and shiney caps fitted (i stamped the caps myself as getting them mixed up wouldnt be fun, there machined together so not interchangeable)
