Hello. I've been using the forum for a few weeks, tidying up an 8v 1.2 thats been sitting up for a while.
However I've hit a bit of a dead end with a no start so hoping to get some help here.
It was starting a week ago but wouldn't idle. Cleaned the tb and changed plugs but then it wouldn't fire at all after that.
The battery is a bit flat (12.2v) so i'm running jump leads to a corolla that's ticking over.
So here's what I know;
1. Fuel Pressure at the rail ok.
2. 12V at the coils ok.
3. turns over but no spark and no fuel from injectors.
4. The lead to the crank sensor (3 wire) is only getting ~2v (with ignition on).
5. Can't detect any continuity between the pins on the crank sensor.
6. No fault lights staying on.
It appears the sensor is faulty AND there is an issue with the voltage supply to it.
It seems to me unlikely that these 2 faults appear simultaneously.
What am i missing?
