Hi guys, I have a bit of a dilemma.
My brother is giving me his Alienware PC. This thing is massive, its about as long as my PC table is wide. But, it is better than the PC I currently have.
My issue is that there is no way in hell it is going to fit under my desk where it needs to go.
I am thinking of opening it up and transferring it into this:

Is this a good idea if I do go down this route; is there anything I need to watch out for when transferring?

I don’t mind keeping it ‘as is’, but i need it to fit. Does anyone know of a PC table that it could possibly fit under?

There shouldn't be a problem transferring it to a new case, as all hardware is pretty standard, unless it's Dell, and I've got in the back of mind that Dell now own Alienware?

They do, but i think he got it just before they took it over.

That Casecom won't accept EATX motherboards - so what is the current spec of the Alienware?

I have used that a case a few times for customer builds btw :)

What is EATX, how would I tell?

So its decent case? would you recomend getting the extra fans?

mine is on top of the desk and i managed to squeeze two monitors on there as well :slayer:

also my mixer

my desk is bigger then i thought

My desk is a 2mx60cm bit of white melamine from B&Q supported by 2 lengths of 2x4 (one front and one back) and 5 legs (2 front and 3 back), was cheaper than any flatpack desk I've ever bought and is infinitely more practical :)

Did you clean it to take that photo :p

Mines a similar idea to Eklipze3k's. 2 pieces of coated MDF in an L shape fixed to the wall and supported at the edges.
