i believe the TF1029 does have another part which can be removed, allowing you to use the drop tailgate, but it's not as simple as a swan neck to remove, also, the picture on the website is (i believe) incorrect.
look at the fitting instructions http://www.tow-trust.co.uk/assets/uploads/pdfs/fitting_instructions/TF1029.pdfhttp://www.tow-trust.co.uk/assets/uploads/pdfs/fitting_instructions/TF1029.pdf where bolts J and C are installed.
phone them, and see what they say, and report back, i'll be curious as to their response, im looking to get a tow bar for mine too eventually.

we need the drop down tailgait as we have to load a mobility scooter in so a swan neck i recon is a must have item i'll phone them tomoz lads.

job done..!!:)

that's good deal,
I bought a FIAT one - used BUT unfitted for a LOT more than that when my 105 weekend was 2 years old..,
BUT the car had so little low-end grunt( and tall 1st gear) that I never fitted it and bought a Tipo TD again for towing..a caravan,

out of interest did he "scotch-lock" the electrics into the rear loom,
or run it all up to the dash as FIAT recommend,

I got my GOOD tipo wired like the FIAT manual..worked perfectly..took an Auto-electrical specialist ALL DAY, said they had lost money on the £130 charge..wouldn't do another..,
later ones I bought had been "scotch-locked" seemed to work OK,
just didn't have the tell-tale illuminated in the Proper "trailer" dash icon..,

OF course we are lucky we are all talking pre-canbus..,
even the wrong wattage bulb will cause issues now..:bang: "progress eh..!!:(

hi i think he scotch locked them tbh and as for testing it out its been to pigging wet but it looks a good towbar from a good company with free p/p i went for twin electrics it was only a couple of quid more than the single socket so i'm all done ready for 4th march we're off to cirencester watch this space lol..

hehe only took you 6 months :p

ha no what it was we would not buy a caravan in the summer months they go for a lot more i waited till dec then bought one and then i waited till jan to fit the damn thing but i'm a happy chappy all done now thank god..

took our caravan to the cotswolds last week and towed with the marea for the first time and i have to say it towed our van at ease no probs at all in fact the only prob i had was to keep the speed down very pleased indeed ..
