I have a new Dynamic arriving soon, and i will have to swap my tow bar from my older Panda to the new one.
I can deal with the nuts and bolts side of things but im a little unsure with electrics, how simple is the job, is the wiring in place ready?

Any input appreciated.

Just lifted the mat and took a look at the wiring .
No No No!
I'm going to pay someone who knows what they are doing :D.

If you look behind the rear bumper, in the middle, you will find a multiplug whose wiring is neatly run inside the car.
Now, I may be wrong but this looks like wiring for a towbar.
It's quite likely that if the towbar is fitted by an independent this wiring will be ignored, hence the pit of snakes under the boot mat.
There's no reason for this, with a bit of care the multiplug could be used or wired into before it enters the car's interior.
When you have the towbar refitted, just ask if they can use the original wiring.

However, vehicle specific wiring costs over £80 on eBay for the Panda which is expensive, I can see why an independent towbar fitter would run their own wiring instead.

Honestly its not hard to wire in....

i assume the fitters have used scotch locks to tap into the pandas rear loom?

if so write down the colour of the wires eg Pink with black stripe and where they run to eg Yellow towbar wire...

it looks worse than it is (honest)

there are "only" 7 wires to attach to the towbar socket :D

(unless the panda has a bulb failure monitor in which case this might help how my puntos electrics are wired (i soldered them recently as the scotch hooks began to play up)

Ok.

Thanks for giving me the confidence.
I will tag and mark all the wires before i remove them, it think i might photo them also.
I was quoted £90 for the swap by the way, but i now think i can manage. (y)
