to fix or nor to fix

i have a bravo with engine failure thats been sat in my garage for 2 years untouched,

will it be worth buying a recon engine (1.4sx) and fitting or will other things have gone wrong due to fact its been unused for 2 years ie breaks, tryes, other bits n bobs

or should i buy a new car?

unless its mint condition or you have uprated interior its prob not worth it, wheel barings may have gone off, brakes will be either siezed on or will be all rusty, tyres would need replacing as they will be full of cracks

you may be able to break it for parts and get some money back

My Brava had been sitting around a very long time and was used very little in the past 3 years. Infact it had done 6k miles since 2004.

The result? A lot of money needed to be shelled out to rectify rotten and old parts. Solid now, but anything exposed to the elements suffered.

Just replaced my sunroof seal - jesus what a mess that was underneath Sorted now but what a pain to fix it all.
