Slow to return to tick over

Hi Folks :)

My Bravo is still going strong if looking a little worse for wear.

It does seem slow to return to tick-over though.

Often when having stopped from say 40mph, the revs sit a 1500 for a while before dropping back to 750rpm.

If I let the clutch out to retard the engine a bit, they drop to 750rpm straight away.

Is this normal? Its a MK2 115 HLX.

Regards

Conrad

my 115hlx does this often...remove idle valve clean out with brake cleaner....squirt it in the big holes till they fill up....cover holes shake it...empty it out and repeat a few times.bolt it back on ,job done...

Are you fly by wire or cable?

If cable, check its not dry or snagged, or the pedle needs a squart with WD40 :)
