Hello there. What a magnificent forum you have here. I didn't think anyone else appreciated the brava!

I'd love to get some advice from you all, please. I have a 2001 1.2 80 sx brava in azure blue, it's got 6 mths MOT. I got it when it was 1 year old.

All the usual small quirks of the old fiats like the squirters only work very occasionally and footwell floods every time it sees a falling leaf. Bodywork seems good (it's a real looker!) and it drives like a dream except that the thrust bearing just went. I need a new clutch system at about £300. The sub-floor went last year and it's never had a cam belt change (74000 on the clock! aren't I sitting on a time bomb?). There is mould and wetness on the ceiling at the two front pillars but I don't know where it's coming from and therefore how serious this is.

The question is, do I buy the new clutch and enjoy another few years of brava motoring or do I quit while I'm ahead because something else is going to go wrong soon?

Thank you.
Lorraine

Clean all the crap away from around the bonnet hinges this is a draining area so needs to be clear of leaves and 12yrs of dirt that may help with the puddle the mould will be because of the damp in the car may want to change the filter located under bonnet near to windowscreen accessed via a plastic panel, clutch kit will be a lot cheaper than that

£66 inc vat from herehttp://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/Products.aspx?CategoryID=1433

does not cost £250 fitting more like £100 max

£32 for the cambelt kithttp://www.shop4parts.co.uk/?name=store&op=Results&category=14&secondary=87&opts=56&btnViewProducts=Search

The choice is yours
