fitting the new pump is not a problem :D only 3 bolts and a nut.
Would a different pulley, affects the timing ???? As it will less teeth ??

no, ALL of my setup was mpi...APART from the pump which was the older pitch.

If your new belt fits the new pump but not the cam pulley....and you r pump looks the sme as mine.....I'm totally confused!

Could probably sort it in seconds if i was there though. Show pics of each of you parts with new and orig belts.

The new pump is different from my old pump.

The new belt is different from my old belt.

But new belt works with the pump but not with the pulley.

The engine is a 1242 SPI.

I have been told to ask for a pump for a cinq sporting, but belt wise? is the fine pitch one, what belt should i go for ?

And i have already posted pics of old and new belt, and old vs new pump. If that's what u mean?

IS there reason for getting the Pulley or is that the easier route?????

Being in Glasgow .... many scrappy up here, don't like to sell bits off the engine, they will force you to buy the whole thing.

Yeah, sure, the cam pulley is not too hard to swap, but the crank pulley is a bit of a pain...high torque and often corroded. Especially if the belt is off, the crank and flywheel are gonna spin and need locking down.

I doubt theres a technical benefit for the newer belt, so i'd just get the parts swapped for the correct ones.
