Good morning to everyone.I would like to change my timing belt and water pump on my seicento mpi sporting. From a research here in forum i see that you must set the cam and the crank at right timing marks.Something like 9 and 10 o clock from crankshaft. My question is apart from this timing marks ,must i see and the flywheel marks?Thank you.

Can you give engine Series Number (not vin , reg or engine number) must be Series, I have cam belt books, but most say they had cam chains not belts.
However if you have Engine Series I may have more detail.:)

Good morning bugsymike.I find these numbers: 187A1000 ,187AXC1A02C.Can these numbers help you or i must look something else? Thanks a lot

I believe the 903cc are chain
The 1108 are belt (same motor in Panda) 🤔

It it NOT Fussy,

If you have changed belts before the only complication is the BASIC belt tensioner (a bearing trapped by a nut and washer)

At one point @15 years ago I owned an 1108 cc
Cinq Sporting, Punto55 and Panda 169

I had to replace the belt on all 3, I have never bought "timing tools"😉

Good morning varesecrazy.Thank you for your reply.Yes indeed my car has belt,no chain.I haven't replaced belts before,so my question is ,apart from the markings on cam and crankshaft do i need to take a look and on the flywheel?I had see in the past someone to change belt on uno 1.1 and he said that the flywheel must be at 0 degrees.

Not sure if much help , but see what you think. In my AutoData Technical Manual it lists the 187A1000 so I have included that information any way.
In my Timing Belt AutoData Book there is this about the early 1.1 FIRE engine on two seperate listings, but without your Engine Serial Number. So you will have to see if it looks relevant or not. Maybe other Forum members can confirm.
