Hi, I’ve just bought an unloved 16v petrol Multipla and working through everything that needs rectifying.
I’ve got a rough/slow idle and a loudly ticking purge valve so assume it’s shot.
1. Is there anyway to test this to confirm it’s faulty?
2. Have I got something missing on the carbon canister? When I put my finger in the hole on top it generates a vacuum. Not sure if there should be something there like a spring loaded valve?
(Regarding the rough idle, it’s just had plugs, leads, air/oil filters, oil, throttle body clean and induction hoses checked/clamped. It’s better but not 100% yet)
