Technical Throttle body & IACV clean Fiat Panda 1.2

Hi, i made a video, which i clean throttle body & iacv(idle air control valve) on my Fiat Panda 1.2 169. After the cleanning the car starts much better than before. In conclussion, disappeared this cold start weakness there was before

Thank you for this video. It has given me the confidence to tackle the cleaning of mine on my Punto.... Luckily I have some jubilee clips so I can take the IAVC out also.

I like that a lot! thanks very much for posting. I've recently done this year's service on our Panda 1.2 Dynamic Eco and now that's done I am going to clean the MAP sensor. It makes a lot of sense for me to do this at the same time!

I can testify to this on our 2011 69hp car it had the same sort of effect. The later car is slightly different configuration but basically similar.

flyby wire throttle bodies don't have a idle air control valve

As long as there isnt dirt stopping the butterfly fully closing its fine

Spraying brake / carb cleaner onto the T/B is a bad idea

If any gets into the position sensor it may became unreliable months down the line

spray onto a cloth and wipe off is best practice.

on the flyby ones thats just the edge of the butterfly and where it seats

with a scanner the position is around 14 degrees at idle and if there is a build up its usually around 20 degrees

on the 69hp oil below the T/B resting in the inlet manifold is normally more of a problem.
