Why not save the £16k and spend it on a house or a flat?? You will enjoy that much more than a car, and actually may make some money in the process!!! If I had £16k in a trust fund, i wouldnt be spending it on cars. You will loose all of that money, no doubts in that. Having alloys is no where near as satisfying as your own place!

Still though Carl, why not wait til you have saved the money before you decide what you "will" do? I dont think you realise how much it costs to just live at the moment, and when you get a job you will start paying tax like the rest of us so dont think that £5.50 an hour will be all yours

No because i dont live with parents. If i did id be paying £50per week I had an allowance untill i was 15 then i got 2 jobs
