Nah it's an artificial restriction on the upstream bandwidth. They do it to always make sure there's spare upstream capacity to service the downstream requests. Hence why synchronous connections at those bandwidth levels are mega bucks.

tbh that's still over 10mbit upstream which isn't to be sniffed at but it's still beaten by a high quality FTTC connection :D

Same, on 3, although I'm an older customer so for the same money sim only I get 5k texts and 3to3 mins, 2k any network mins and also get unlimited data with unlimited tethering - limited to 2gb a month for all new customers now :devil:

not as fast as a lot on here but a huge improvement on the 3 meg we had with sky
 
I wish VM would offer better download/upload ratios to home customers. It used to be you didn't need much upload and providing it encouraged users to run home servers but with the cloud these days a decent upload speed is increasingly important if you want to backup and sync large files.

Agreed.Its their model though. To sell with that big download speed headline grabber
