haven't touched the engine bay yet, will give it a good cleanup today (y)

Standard spec:

Electric windows with winders on the back.
Electric mirrors.
Electric Hood.
Recaro Seats.

Mods:

4" backbox.
Dump valve.
Phase 1 Turbo.
CD player with Amp and Sub.
Turbo Systems Superchip.
Rsturbo Caliper and Discs.

Stuff do be done:

deffinately need to get rid of them amber indicators, maybe change the rear lights to afterburner style rear lights or just tint them in gloss black.

not sure if i should get some different alloys but i quite like the rs turbo ones one.

EDIT: THE WHEELS LOOK TERRIBLE ON THE PICS, IT'S JUST BRAKE DUST LOL!
that RS is nice! not keen on the front headlamps, im a real sucker for an old escort...probably my favourite car standard XR3i cabriolet in red.
We used to have a Cobra Kitcar based on a cortina with a 2.9 Cossie lump in, was exported to germany by some german people who bought it..
get some stock headlamps and clear indicators and will look mint!

escort cossie...that is one car you wont get insured on (end of insurance comments!)

Just about anything with 'Cosworth' written on it you'd be lucky to get insurance. When ringing up for quotes for an 18 year old male expect to hear either:

A telephone number being quoted (except that's the quote in £££'s!)

or

the insurance telesales person laughing their heads off!

Even if some of the 'other driver' policies that allow other drivers to be insured on someones insurance, such as the type your dad has, can/ will restrict drivers under a certain age from being elegible on cars like that.

And put it this way, even after 21 years on the road I'd be wary about my ability to handle a 400bhp rwd turbo car. That kind of power will only need one mistake to make a very big mess of you and the car itself

and erm there aren't any restrictions on it, it says ANY PRIVATE MOTORVEHICLE :D

It does now with a hairdresser's 'Scort. They may say differently once you mention the car is a Cosworth ;)

it wont be for a good few months yet, i wanna try turning the turbo up on the rs first, it's only on a quarter boost, not sure on psi/bar.

Alex, people turn up the boost on old turbos and before they know it:

Tishhhhhhhhhh - BANG!

Leave it as it is so that you can sell it in once piece!

haha exactly.

don't turn it up unless you've got the relevant supporting mods, otherwise you should get a nice bang :D

well by my calculations its nearly been a year :p

although im not one to speak to soon!

just bought some new clocks off ebay with the lockwood dials on and caliper sliders so i can fit the turbo brakes, he threw in a turbo pod too (y)
