Whats up with the backbox on a car like that:D

Re: The RS Turbo

clear indicators ordered, alarm and remote locking coming soon when i decide on which to buy, not sure weather to take foglights off or not :chin:
Even though im only 11 i would leave the foglights on(y)

Re: The RS Turbo

They aren't foglights, they're spot lights- come on with the main beam.

I thought they looked good on mine, but when I took them off the car looked much 'cleaner' styling-wise... plus the N/S lamp blocks airflow to the intercooler.

Nice mate!!
Personally, i'd leave the spots on there, but would be looking for some standard headlights as soon as poss. Clear indicators ordered so won't go there other than to say make sure you keep standard amber ones. Same with back lights, i'd say tint over afterburners but only if you get some standards to go back on when you sell.

And hate to be another one to say but that exhaust... please please change it, sure it sounds ace and all but its a complete chav mobile atm with that on, needs a more subtle one. Defo a less is more car IMO

Love it! i used to want an Xr3i same era as this, in red, with those wheels an a black rubbery stock spoiler from the age of 8 till 12 haha
Looks sweet though! :)

keep the spotlights, get rid of the light masks/round headlight conversion. Escorts of this style and older look best with spotlights. look dull otherwise and hints at their rallying heritage. plus spotlights make it more fun driving at night down small unlit country roads.

i'm very sorry, i didnt realise you wanted a discussion about the glittery effect of water droplets.

did you know a small droplet (20um) has a fogbow but a larger droplet (1mm) has a rainbow. fog has small droplets so it doesnt create rainbows, your car has big droplets so you get all sorts of pretty colours. yay.

Taking the rainbow effect into greater detail you find that it is caused by a prism effect of the water droplets. By breaking the white light generated by the sun naturally into its component colours ranging from both ends of the invisible spectrum thru the visible. you get everything in between infra red and ultra violet.

Light changes speed as it moves from one medium to another (for example, from air into the water of the droplet). This speed-change causes light striking the boundary between two media at an angle to be refracted and enter the new medium at a different angle (Huyghens principle), or to be reflected away from it. The amount of reflected light and the degree of bending of the light's path will depend on the angle that the incident beam of light makes with the surface, and on the ratio between the refractive indices of the two media (Snell's law). The refractive index of a medium varies with the wavelength or color of the light used, a phenomenon known as dispersion, and this causes light of different colors to be refracted differently and to leave the prism at different angles, creating an effect similar to a rainbow. This effect can be used to separate a beam of white light into its constituent spectrum of colors. :)
