beofre fatherhood i did Krav Maga,which was great exercise but also got me in a mindset to train at other times

I will do, I used to ride everywhere before I got my first car but Ive never been slim my whole life except for when I used to ride everywhere but even then I wasn't amazingly slim.
 
The best exercise I've had is Body Pump. Sadly its an expensive franchise and few gyms do anything similar by another name.

I like it because its aerobic and high repetiton weights so I dont get bulky muscle. Normal gym weights & machines just bulk me up. I tried doing 80 reps (with BP size weights) to the point I could do no more and got barely 1/2 way. It needs the group atmosphere to get you though.

It works well for women because they dont get bulky unless they go mad with weights. In the classes I attended, the fit toned women were moving bigger weights for their body size than the men- and often with better technique. Certainly gave us blokes something to compete for. :)
 
my mate used that weight watches point thing and that work wonders for him if you stick to it
slimming world is better, more choices and better/nicer food. basic priciples are splitting carbs and proteins into different days, ie one day u can eat all the pasta and rice as u like, another day u can munch through a load of meat.
