when im driving there is a lack of power and if i put my foot down usually between 2 and 3k revs the car starts hesitating and theres no power has done it above that though, also my mpg is between 23 and 24
im not sure what plug or lead but i did take them off and pop them back on except the last one closest to the battery coz i couldn't get it off i might try again tomorrow

are they just plain old IR leds that i can buy on eBay and the like?
I have an HDMI switch remote thats stopped working after being dropped
happened before and i swapped the LED for noe from an old Xbox 1 remote

Yeah, all IR LED's are pretty much the same. If you have another LED lying around you could connect in parallel to test - e.g. connect a red (visible!) led and you should see it flash. Alternatively point the remote at a camera / webcam and you should see it flash.
TBH I would be surprised if it's the LED - more likely a cracked track. Do the above point-at-a-webcam test while gently flexing the board to see if it comes back to life.
you know electrics just make sure you get a matching impedance n stuff. otherwise somthing may not work as well ro work too wellthe IR LEDs in remote controls
