why would you want to get to all the car
They probably want to check everything they can to make sure there were no other factors which could have contributed.
Insurnace company doesn't enter into it - this isn't going through the insurance. :)

I just hope for your sake that the people representing the garage haven't some kind of agenda these buggers will try to wriggle off the hook in any way they can :) Question to you did you have any mods on he coupe that were not declared to your insurance company maybe that's why they are sniffing around the car hoping to find a loop hole :)

Insurance shouldn't matter, the bearing failed. They may have a case, if the tyres or wheels where the wrong size, or maybe if the mechanics of the car had been ill maintained. Or they might look at the tracking etc, and say that excessive wear was resultant of blah blah, but the work they did was fine etc etc.

Hope your arm doen't take too long to heal Sammi.

thanks :)

The wheels have new tread on and all balancing and stuff was done when i had the new tyres so this shouldnt be a problem :)

The invesigator who looked at the car for me made an extensive report and concluded that it was the misfitting of the bearing that was the cause of the accident.

My dad is arranging for the engineer we had to look at the car to be present when they come back for a second look.

Thats all good then Sam and if the investigators report said it was the incorrectly fitted bearing that was the cause then it would appear they are just trying to play for time and mess you about hoping to ware you down (n) dirty tactics lousy gits IMO they shouldn't be allowed to trade as a garage after this how many other jobs have they messed up maybe peoples lives are at stake here and you could have been just another statistic (n)

Just an update - not there is much to update.

I am currently in battle.....

The garages insurance have requested the car is to be taken to fiat and be looked at by their engineer and have said that "my" engineer can attend.

Now I am in argument with my solicitor that seems to know as much legal stuff as my little toe.

My argument is that the third party has requested the car go to fiat so they can pay for it to go there.

The third partys insurance are saying that they shouldnt have to pay because its my claim.

I am not paying for the car to go to fiat because their insurance wants it there. If they want it there they can pay for it. They surely dont expect me to pay for their investigations. If my engineer requested it to go there then i would expect that I would be paying.

Am I wrong?

Grrrr almost a year on and it still isnt going anywhere. I am well stressed out with it all

you should get H to book you in to nice health farm for a few days of R&R

they'll want you to pay for their lawers next...:(

i hadn't actually seen this thread before, first i knew was when you were having the op on your shoulder, didn't know it was quite this bad.

This is the type of usual hassles designed to **** you off into giving up, I suggest you apologise then come over rude to all parties on the phone and tell them exactly what you said on here in plain english, you'll need to spell it out to them.
