Only once! She'd never been allowed to iron before! Shame gaz_wrexham's mum didn't take the same attitude with him, would cost the NHS less! :D

Hey Sammiboo
Good news that you're back at work... suppose normality will start setting in again in a couple of days and you will wish for a holiday ;)
How's the elbow? Feeling coming back yet?

steve - its more disheartening that if it is a garage they are a well known italian car specialist and specialise in coupes too :(

Liam - the car is doing great, lat week got 37.5mpg so i was quite happy :D

Solvac - my arm is still sore in places and havent got the feeling back, but i do insist on smacking my arm into things, so that doesnt help

Just to update you all again....

The company that has been inspecting my car has come up with a final verdict....

The garage that fitted the bearing is to blame for the accident, it was incorrectly fitted (n)

The report is going to the solictors and I am starting proceedings against the garage :(

Hopefully it will be straight forward but I really doubt it will be.

i am not after a big payout for all this
But you are entitled to it Sammi. Don't forget you are permanently damaged now and will never be able to enjoy driving again :D ;)
Do em for all you can and you may be able to buy a ferrari :)

agree with the bubble boy :p sammi, you never know the long term implications of an injury.eg i tore the ligiments in my ankle bout 7 years ago and i still gives me grief.on long journeys in the cinq it kills me as its my right on and it keeps the pedal planted :D

take the soliciters advice and go for broke, heres hoping your cooped up soon after being couped up

Here's hoping you recuperate all losses and compensation for the injuries to yourself. It's a good thing that they have found fault with the garage, rather that than being unable to decide who's quite at fault. :)

a mates vw passat went into kwikfit for brake pipes, and they forgot to refit one of the pipes, he lost the brakes whilst doing 30mph, the car smashed through a school gates and my mate sued, he got £12000 (no win, no fee). so you should be able to get between £10000 - £15000 compensation with a good lawyer.
