how can you take the stud off when the wheel is on rallycinq???? im either thick or youve missed something :S especially if its bolted on

OR do you mean put it in from the outside of the wheel? but that would be just as hard as a bolt lol,

They screw it in all the way, just enough to keep the spacer/disc and the wheel alighed.

Anyway, got the studs from rally deisgn an nuts from ebay .... added up to a tidy sum of £55 ....

Hopefully the same doesn't happen!

Thanks

This was for Ming who has managed to mangle a set of studs and complained the other night that the only reason he was using studs was because he has some thin spacers that don't bolt on.

The idea is to use the bolts to hold the wheel on, but use one stud to line up the hub, spacer and wheel. This stud does not need to be screwed in tight, just enough to stop it falling out while the rest of the bolts are fitted.

i managed to snap three rear studs the other week :S:S.

i know its not for me, but i jsut dont see how you can then replace the stud with a bolt. haha oh wel.

oh and if its a small spacer use a couple of blobs of no more nails. wack it on using the bolts (no wheel) when it sets it will be attached to your disk and will be lined up forever ( dont use too much or it wont come off for replacement disks)

Ahh i think where your confuesion lies, with the abarth studs, there is like a nut/shape in the middle of the studs so you can';t withdraw them once the wheels is on.

But the studs i got is just a bolt with out the head so i can jus tscrew them out.

The whole point of me using studs is because i have spacers BEHIND the brake disc, so is hard to line up!

Shiny new filter holder bolted under the rear seat base, all I can see are two 6mm nuts.

Filter fitted attached and checked for running/leaks.

Tomorrow morning the cover goes on and I'll never see the shiny bracket until filter change time.

Underfloor all on, today swapped the autotest tyres onto lighter rims.

Need to sort a couple of lighting issues then MOT next week, I hope.

First event of the new season 6th March, then we will see how this ATB works at last.

I love electrical problems that sort themselves.

I had sorted the rear non working side light.

I switched the side lights on while I was changing the tyres and half way through changing the nearside tyres the front side light started working.

Result.

The MOT man he say yes, one advisory for a TRE, the welding has obviously upset it. Maybe look at putting some Manta ones on.

So FF outing to the autotest tomorrow.
