hi all, I am new to this forum, I currently own a fiat 58 plate Grande Punto 1.4 Eleganza that I have had for around a year now. I have started to experience a temperature warning light whenever the car is either 1) started from a cold start or 2) left for a day and started the next and 3) left for around 6 hours on a cold day and then started. On the same occasions the car can also struggle to start. Also I have just had a major service done on the car in which the cam chain was replaced and also the cars filters.

just wondering if anyone else has experienced these problems and has any advice for me. Thanks in advance

If it comes on at the start and goes off after a few seconds I wouldnt worry too much. Could end up spending loads and not fixing the problem, if however it stays on while driving then it could be related to struggling to start. If diesel then glowplugs need looking at, if petrol could be spark plugs, battery, alternator or starter :)

Sorry yes it is a petrol 1.4 (I wasn't sure what it had). And yes it does only occur on ignition and then disappears. The spark plugs have all been changed in its last service, but I will get the garage to check the battery when it is in on Wednesday. Thanks for your advice I will definitely look into this on the forum as well.
