Temp gauge

In slow moving traffic,the kind you have to keep braking in Ive noticed my temp gauge keeps going down towards cold every time I touch the brakes.
Its only just started doing it.
Normal braking doesnt affect it.
It doesnt get hot and is always on the halfway mark on the temp gauge.

Also is it normal for my front spots to come on only with the main beam on?
There is no switch on the dash so I just presumed thats how they are.
I saw a Bravo the other day with just its spots on.

My car by the way is a 1998 Brava sx.

Temp gauge is a weird one can't help you with that!

I don't think the sx version came with spot lights/fog lights, they must have been installed by the previous owner and he must have wired them that way! I have a HLX and the only way you can get the spot lights on is to put your sidelights on and push a button on the dash!
