i was just woundering at what temperature the temp gauge should sit at at normal running temperature?

Mine hardly ever seems to move and im sure it should read higher than it is. It also seems to be using a lot of fuel! Also the injector light has been coming on are they related?
Got a 1.4 12v 1996 (80,000)
Any help would be greatly welcomed

cheers

Half way or just under. Your car has a problem, go to Fiat and get them to use the diagnostic computer on it.

Re: Re: temp gauge

Cheers Tom!
do you think that the injector light is on because of the temp gauge?

will take it monday, but any idea of what it could be?

P.S thanks for the quick response!

Re: Re: Re: temp gauge

It could be many things, the fact the light is on indicates the ECU has detected a fault and the code can be read. I'd have a good guess that the thermostat is stuck but I don't think that is your only prob.

The danger is you could spend £100's replacing bits and not fix it, going to Fiat and coughing up £20-30 helps narrow it down alot and will save you money overall.
