Hi peeps!

I didn't know, until I looked under all the Pandas I saw in France, that Panda 4x4's normally come with a tubular steel sump guard.
When I baught the 'heap' it didn't have one :(
Can I still get one or are they 'rocking horse s***'??
There seem to have been many different versions released around Europe; different styles, light guards, bull bars, roof racks etc...
If not, I can fabricate one from scratch. Would it help to borrow one from one of you to use as a template?

Cheers chaps
Nick

That looks like a bar to make the car more stable when cornering (can't for the life of me think what they're called), the sump guards are similar (mount in the same place I think), but go along the back of the engine sump, and also around it.

Jon.

Hi Jon,

Sorry didnt get much time to chat, I hope you got back ok. Was it serious? Head gasket troubles?

Your thinking of an anti roll bar I think (or stabilizer to an american lol). This might be explained by Lewey and Avanti in the anti roll bar thread.....

Hope you get it all sorted!

Hi Si, was the amp on the distributer, such a small thing that causes such big issues :p

Ordered one today, and using a friends staff discount where he works, so should be under £40 and with me lunchtime tomorrow, so the Sisley should be running for me tomorrow night :D

Hmmmmmmm

So protection from getting torpedoed on the A12 by U666 :D :ROFLMAO:

Ah, glad to hear it. I heard you talking of strange over heating at some point and so I feared the worst when I heard you had had trouble. Probably shouldve just asked someone lol!

Happy pandaing tomorrow night!

You lot have started a completely diffeent conversation on my thread haven't you?!!
lol :p

Not interested in roll bars for a Fiat Panda 4x4. Don't think how it handles will be an issue (although a tuned 1.2 75 in a stripped out Panda might be quite fun on a track day!)

Cheers anyway :)

Nick

p.s. Why are the Punto lot mechanically retarded? lol

Depends what your understanding of the word "sway" is. My understanding and the dictionary definition is:

v.intr. To swing back and forth or to and fro
n. The act of moving from side to side with a swinging motion.

I think this doesn't describe the purpose of the bar very well. Not often you hear people saying "my car swings to much".

It's not wrong per se, but still poor as far as British engineering vocabulary goes.

All in my opinion of course. Boy is this OT.

Hi Nick, don't worry i'm still paying attention!

Pretty sure I have one kicking about, 3 actually (but 2 are allocated to cars)

You'll need to wait until next week for me to dig it out though because i'm going to Bristol for the weekend. Stay tuned....
