Hi folks,

I've just fitted the 4x4 sump guard to my 4x2 and it now looks like I have less ground clearance than my C63!

I've read various posts about the difficulties of lifting these cars, but, could an easy solution to this be to fit 145/85/r13 tyres on the front only? Currently I have 145/80/r13 tyres all round.

Cheers!
Dan

It's an interesting theory, might look a bit odd - but more crucially have you tried shopping around for 145/85/13 tyres yet.... try tapping it into Black Circles and see what options come up (hint - none at all!) You'd be better shopping around for some 14" steels and starting from there if you're going to try and go bigger..

Good point - that appears to be a tyre size in theory only!
Tbh I'm a bit concerned about compromising on road handling too.. Might just add a few psi and make sure my bash plate is beefy enough

Bad news - Bash plate hits the road.

Good news - Bash plate is well up to the job (y)

It could be your car was only just clearing road bumps before you fitted the bash plate.
