Hello
I am the originall (or actually the previous) owner of this car. Accidentally I found this thread while searching for Multipla's interior dimensions so I would like to add some details.
The car was bought in 1997. We've been told that it belonged to an old lady doctor from new which she was unable to drive and the MOT's (which I still have stored somewhere in my house) proved that since the last 5 years it only covered 50 or 100 miles per year (to th MOT station and back I guess). Anyway, we never met the old lady but the garage which sold me the car was reliable.
The car had about 15 K when I bought it and during my last year in UK i used it daily mainly on the M62 (I leaved in Huddersfield but studied in Bolton).
Apart fom preventive servicing (we replaced the cambelt when I bought it) and putting 4 new tyres, the car needed nothing so I decided to take it back home in July 98. The only problem I encountered was a fuel pump few hours before taking the ferry from Ancona to Patras (I think it was the first time that the Strada was running in so hot weather so the 15 yo pump had all the rights to go .... south) but the local 'servizio' Fiat replaced it within 30 minutes.
Upon returning to Greece, I did used the car for about a year but then it proved difficult to insure it (UK plates) so I drove it periodically and after 2002 I managed to found a basement to store it. Since then I just fired the engine ocasionally until Yanni bought it from me.
It must be mentioned though that this is the very first series 105 TC since the McPherson struts have 2 attachment points in the turrets (later ones had 3). Moreover is not the usual rustbag since the first owner seem that she parked it in a garage as well so it haven't been exposed continually to the UK weather.
The only rust that had to be repaired was a small patch in the rear wheel arch (where the plastic is attached) and in the rear hatch just in front of the rear spoiler. Thas was done when it was resprayed in Septembet 98.
I hope you find that info usefull.
This car brings back memories to me and I thought that I would never sell it but some changes in my life made it really hard to keep it.
