General Importing a Strada

Good evening, I've always had a soft spot for the series 1 Strada but never managed to own one. A friend in Germany knows of a really lovely looking left hand drive early Ritmo 60 for sale and I just wondered if buying it and importing it would make any sense at all. I imagine parts are now very hard to obtain and that even converting lights etc. to rhd would be difficult.
Any thoughts or advice gratefully received please.

You would be wise to check for EVERYTHING, especially lighting, that you will need to change to run this car in the UK as a "left hooker".

If a MkI then this will have the single round Carello front headlamps with the cutouts in the bonnet.
