So do you mean so the radio is off when you turn the car on? Couldnt you just remember to turn the volume down before you get out the car?

If I turn the radio off when I get out it always comes on when I restart the car.

I normally forget to turn it down when stopping.

Keep the "MENU" button pressed for a good few seconds. This opens up the 2nd level menu which provides a whole lot of useful options. It's all in the ICE manual which I personally always keep in the glovebox.

If anyone is still stuck then I'll post the full procedure(y)

There's an option (at leat on the Nav+) where you can set a certain volume for when turning the car on. I'm sure there's the sme option somwhere in the regualr radio, i suggest you reda the manual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See you've got the reverse problem, because most people post that they want there radio to come on with the ignition because is doesnt. Mine has never switched the radio on with ignition since ive owned it
Hi activematt, Is that not because you don't have a standard radio in your car? Instead you had to go and make most of us jealous by installing that monster you have (y)

Thanks for the advice, I'll definitley try the hold the menu button down for a few seconds thing.

Amusing the amount of people who say read the manual as I work in IT and that's what we always say...

I didn't read it by the way, far more into just pressing stuff to see what happens:idea:
