Hello everyone from Croatia
so for the first part of my post:
I'm putting together an esp32 project - the esp32 will pull some informations from the can B and C buses and display them on the LCD under the radio, there will be an additional second LCD that will pull some additional sensors from under the hood that are not part of the can bus network.
For about 3 months now I've been coding via python esp32 can sniffer program for windows through which I'll decode can bus messages (got my hands onto official FIAT documentation about can B and C).
Atm im tapped into the can C under the steering column and captured few sessions, assembled dictionary to decode messages. When i get more time i will tap into the can B onto the instrument cluster.
my question is: Considering that Stilo 1.9jtd MW (2003) has an oil level check when i put ignition on, I would prefer to add a display of oil temperature and oil pressure, but as far as i understand only the Stilo 2.4 Abarth which has fancy instrument panel with those 2 sensors. Is it possible to add sensors to my JTD?
second question:
i have to slept last night on the back seat (my intercooler pipe has a nasty hole and i have ordered another pipe but im around 85km from home so i cant drive like that plus it was very bad storm last night) and i noticed when car is off and doors are closed after some time i can hear like crackling sound coming from instrument cluster. i have 2 spare clusters in my shop and can it be that sounds is some of stepper motor? instrument cluster works normally no any issues. If stepper motors are problem can i simply swap it?
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.
