Stilo on a trailer..

First thing tomorrow morning I'm heading south to collect a 2002 Stilo JTD on a single axle car transporter(1300kg max load). Its a 200 mile round trip with a stop off in Coventry at a friends pub on the way back.

The total weight of the trailer and car equals the total weight of our car thats towing it.

I think I'm pushing the limits, weight wise, has anyone tried something similar, any advise?

What car are you towing with? Aslong as its rated to tow the weight it shouldn't be a problem.

Apply common Sense

make sure the trailor is upto the job
tyres with tread + Pressure in them

And Driving in general - just keep to the limit if possible - take it gentle, keep the distance Nice and cant see it been a problem if the car can tow that weight and the trailor is happy with it all

If the trailer has brakes you should be ok but if it hasnt I personally wouldnt attempt it.

Also when did you pass your driving test if its after 1996 ish Check your legal to tow with your chosen outfit

Thanks for the advice guys, everything went to plan. I fetched the car this morning, she just about fitted onto the trailer.
