Hi i am completely useless at this stuff so could somebody please pull up the eper diagram of a 1.6 Stilo manual gearbox please. Aparently my gear problem may have something to do with something that can be adjusted but as im said mechanics isnt my strong point. You help will come with beer credits :D

Which bit you want the knob..:D..I take it you want where the adjustment linkages are on the top of the box..where's Davron when you bloomin need him swanning off to the beach no doubt..:p

God knows lol I presumed that there would just be one page showing the gearbox and where the adjuster is so the mechanic can do it as quick as possible. So you think that it is under the centre consol?
Now im off down the beach :D My neighbor rented a Hut for the year. :slayer:

Other pages show gearbox casings ..internals and diff etc and I would have to go into the elearn for better stuff..cables connect to the top of the box and can be adjusted from there stu..they also connect to the gear lever mechanism but iirc you have to get under the car to get at those..enjoy the sun and dont forget the blocker ..:p

Sorry.....I was
swanning off to the beach

Only came back early because I ran out of
beer credits :D

Phil's got it spot on. (now he knows how ePER works ;)) There's nothing adjustable inside the gearbox apart from preload on the bearings.

eLEARN doesn't even show the cables as adjustable but I'm sure I saw cable adjuster nuts on the gearbox end of mine when I had the battery tray out recently.

@ Stu.... Is this still related to your reverse gear (or lack of it ;)) problem?

Sorry, no I can't think of enything else. Was just wondering whether we're still talking about the same problem, was so long ago. ;)

As reverse and fifth are on the same gate, if it's going into fifth OK, it would suggest the problem is either with the forward/backward cable adjustment or the internal selector mechanism is worn or loose..

Hmm i was kind of expecting something on the gearbox itself but if you think its inside then i will take it to the garage on monday and see what they say. Cheers. I dont spose somebody can post the gearbox any way :)
