After three weeks of pain I have finished the build. Short of some finishing stitches I think it turned out ok. Nearly went for a cap in the middle but settled for a changer. Incidentally, if anybody needs a full unused yellow leather hide please let me know and we can do a deal.

Thanks Bob, actually it's more punchy than noisy. 8 rolls of sound deadening stuff keeps all the sound in the car and not thumping outside. As I mostly listen to classical I know that if that sounds cock on, the bassy stuff will be too. I did put on one record (azzido de bass) for my friend and it seemed to please him no end.

What/where did you do/get your original carpet from mate?
