looks awesome :)

on a side note, 30mph average speed, 34.5mpg? that's only marginally better than i get from the 2.8 straight 6 bmw, although im guessing you wern't really driving with economy in mind as much as i may have been getting 33.9

been driving 2 mile to and from work... its poor as ****, gets about 27-28mpg doing them trips as it only just warms up as it gets to where im going, both to and from work...

however (and james knows this :p ) driven sensibly i hardly ever see below 40 :). usually sitting about 42mpg.

aye dead easy, just unsolder and re-solder some (smd i tihnk) LED's but i quite like orange, id be tempted by white but it would all have to match and the heater controls are bulbs so harder to change...

i dont mind silver in the cars with silver stereo, vents ect but mines all black so would want to keep them black :). dont get how fiat took the black interior and randomly made some bits silver. looks naff imo, id have to either spray it all silver, (heater surround, stereo, vents, dials, my control panel and door handles/buttons. or all black like mine XD. dont see many black connect navs so chuffed

Yeah, only the HU on mine's silver...later ones have silver vents and surrounds for the mirror/window controls. From the looks of it though, they're easy to lift out and respray (especially the button surrounds as it's just a few clips). Was one of the things I was tempted to do at some point :)

I'd have been tempted to go all VW and again go blue with the back lights, but like yourself I don't mind the orange. Plus, it's just one less job to do :p

As for the MPG, I don't think my on board computer's all that accurate though given the short journey status, I'm not all that surprised

where does your mpg usually sit fella?? im quite happy with 40+ for a 1.8 when moving, and can expect low 30 high 20's when doing tiny runs up steep hills in the lakes. choke + throttle mixed will never be cheap

and i find blue dazzling, orange is by far the best ive been in a car with, its bright but not too bad and dim but visible. (red ones are too dark blue too light). so im inclined to keep them, they are well better than green of times gone by :p

My overall average sucks due to the short journeys...pretty much currently sitting where yours is. But honestly, usually like >2 mile trips all stop start so pretty much worst for economy. Without resetting beforehand, when I had the run down to your bit I didn't have an issue getting above 40 though, which is what I'd expect. Instant's hilarious to watch though :D

And yeah, remember the mk2 Uno I learnt to drive in had the green...nostalgic :p Just quite liked the blue in the Lupo I'd driven a while back - one of the few things I liked about that heap

I love that astra splitter... Do they fit mk2s? You ever thought about one of those square reg plates btw? Would look ace

damn, no one has noticed :p .

ive done this, with the greatfull help of a neighbour, sanded, fillerd, primerd, painted.... also made the plate a shite load smaller with a bench grinder and mounted it down there....

(i thought of a round one, but imo it looks silly on a stilo. seen it done and it looks bad.)
