Well it aint the battery put new one on and its at it again, i need to get the drivers sorted out on my laptop ive been in contact with gendan and they gave me a download link for them, then i can plug it in and see what sensors playing games, i will clean up the earth lead bolts and fixings, if in the meanwhile any ones got any pointers, im open to any suggestions tia

I’m intrigued as to what the fault code points to once you get your laptop sorted

The laptops giving me more grief than the car no mater what i try i wont recognise the bloody vlinker usb interface to say im peaved with my step son is an understatement the laptop he crashed worked perfect with multiecuscan grrr

I assume you’ve checked every light bulb? The yellow triangle can show a failed lamp. The DRLs and number plate lights are favorites, but also rear fog and poss the reverse light are also monitored

The triangle can also show a fault in the oil pressure sensor - usually a failed earth which relies on a metal tab under the thread of the sensor to complete the circuit. That corrodes…

These are the fault codes the pa code could be bad earth wire brush out check all connection tonight me thinks, b110 code deffo not the battery or its connections

Cleaned all earth cable connections on the body under the battery box, some were a bit manky green corrosion, if its not that which reveal itself within 10 minute tomorrow morning then will try the 30amp ecm relay got some at work see if that solves it,i want find this fault first then find the intermittent fault on rear collision sensor i like fixing faults on machinery at work less so on my car and the timing of this couldnt really be any worse!

I have seen on here that people have had issues with a poor earth on the oil pressure switch/sensor. I have managed to squeeze my phone down to see mine on camera and it is a bit corroded. I also have a yellow triangle that I don’t seem to be able to get rid of. What I can’t see is how best to...

This might help too (it might not!). This is what the specific faults are shown by that sensor in MES: interesting that incorrect range (which I assume means wrong pressure) has a different code. So maybe the sensor is/was faulty or at least not connecting fully?

The pressure sensor is screwed into the plastic body of th oil filter house and relies on a metal tab to provide earth continuity ( seen on teh second post on that page)

But, the error codes for this fail are not the same as you are seeing...?

Ive cleaned up the earth lead connectors, tried a new battery, drove to work this morning not a peep out of it, drove home tonight 5 minutes was it doing again, so stopped replaced the relay that could cause the p068a code still doing it when error 1st occurs it is eml,stop start,esc hill start, fault and goes into limp mode, if i stop it and restart, its just stop start and eml and isnt in limp mode but it reoccurs within 5minutes of driving again, gonna have a day in the garage tomorrow, go through everything any suggestion where to look would be great im just hoping its nothing sinister like i say any ideas would be great..

Sounds like you've already seen this... but the causes of P068A-68 error and the official fixes...
the error is (apparently) a relay that should stay 'on' a short time after the ignition is switched off. But the cause is the battery not keeping the relay powered for the short time.

I guess you know the replacement battery is a good 'un?

Is the wiring into the battery condition sensor (on the negative pole of the battery) OK? The two small wires that go into it are quite fragile - and its this unit that controls the intelligent alternator to keep the battery charge correct, and also decides if stop/start will work.

Apparently (and again you may have found this already) the B110-15 code shows a faulty airbag isolation switch... but the post 2012 models don't have a physical switch for this (it's set via the menu), so that could be a red herring?

Couple of lads came up from halifax auto electricans, was the throttle body problem triggering all these codes, all sorted now i thought it was ticking over a bit lumpy running lovely now 80 squid well spent

Glad you got it sorted.
Your outcome neatly ‘proves’ my theory that, quite often, especially if there’s no obvious symptoms of a problem, error codes are not always right. Sometimes they are little more than a best-guess. (They can be right - for example telling me which one if the four glow plugs was at fault.. but they can also be very wrong, as you’ve seen where an indicated airbag fault was actually a throttle issue !)

Thought i would let people know just in case they experience this problem in future,the guy gave me some advice in how to make up a cleaner 75% diesel and 25% petrol, he knew his stuff said he had worked on a few 500 twin airs same problem and commended mr on the condition of my car and engine bay does multiecuscan do a throttle relearn out of interest?

So how did the pros wade through errant codes to get to the root cause? Interested as I've just had a parasitic drain diagnosed on the XC70

Found the code a found p068a plus a throttle body came up on it and one for a relay which wasnt faulty but something to do with taking it out and checking it, he done a throttle relearn on it after spraying it out and said the may a 70% chance it might come back if so to take the throttle body off and give it a good clean

Well today its like a different car even the stop start is working flawlessly its never done that since i bought it, i did think start up and tickover were getting a bit lumpy recently and as for multiecuscan diagnosing a P068A code gawd knows were that came from, shes smiling again now lol
