Today was dead at work what a result on 2 counts..1 i got my insurance renewal thru for my cinq and mrs punto mk1 sporting £2038.62 rang them up and after some reworking it suddenly came down to £1265.79 just shows loyalty doesnt pay off but i stayed as this time it is only £1.63 more than last year
2nd result cinq bumper finished and in place:yum: at first it looked very odd having had the black bumper on since xmas 2010 but getting used to it again and alot happier now its how it should be

:O that's insane - had a quote on a 1.2 16v cinq conversion with all engine and suspension mods declaired and that was 1400quid fully comp and I'm a young male driver (23) with just 1yrs ncb and with a multicar policy my missus' 1.6 206 was only 769 quid

Must be the difference in areas ??

Starting to get bored with this now as bugger all is going wrong and this is most unlike a fiat as with all my other cinqs i was constantly doing something but this one is being totally perfect.
thanks to dan yet again i now have a fully working speedo and have also bought the same in car dvr as blu73 has and now got to wait for a new sd card to arrive so it can be used:yum::yum: hopefully in time for the run to stanford hall next sunday:worship::worship:
The only other bit i have changed as it came along nice and cheap was a new sealed genuine fiat boot seal so grabbed that for £12 delivered now looking for 2 brand new door seals and rear window seals.they dont need doing but keeping a watch out for any new ones floating about

I have done that when i was rebuilding it and i hit it hard with a 7lb lump hammer but neither side gave way

Lol yea do it hehe but not until after stanford if there anything. Like imolas thi you have no problems she's nearly solid although she's filthy at the moment, working at recycling centres at the moment and she's accumulating wayyyy to much dust, will get the pressure washer out soon methinks

as i said to you mate, time to get another cinq.. 1.4 16v turbo convert it.. Use the current car as a daily while you do it..

Mine was first registered at the end of February 1998 so fairly young for a cinq, but both arches have had it.

I've just done the o/s/r on imola she's a 1998 and only had surface rust attention will be paid to the other rear arch once I've bought some more underseal
