Could check the white relay box by the ecu (if it is still there - and you're still using it?) I had a starting proplem where one of the two relays inside would open the circuit back up when the starter motor was running, which would cut off the fuel pump. Try connecting the pump directly to the battery when starting?

:bang::bang::bang: so bloody close its ridiculous i now have fuel into the engine but i now seem to have a problem with the spark,i have weak/no spark on 1 and 4 but good spark on 2 and 3 so was thinking bad new coil pack but if i take all the leads out the coil packs they arc back and forth with a strong spark so now im wondering if the new kv85s are up the creek or are the plugs fubar  so now its just down to 1 of 3 minor items but will get back out there tomorrow evening and do a bit more investigation and im going to try the coil packs off the blue cinq which is used everyday and that will eliminate them (y) will report back tomorrow :D

Sounds like the problem whitz had, he needed to solder something inside the ecu!

Whitz was only getting 2 injectors to run. As already said, it should still run on 2 even if it sounds awful.

I said to try swapping the coil pack wires, just incase the engine is 180 degrees out. Only thing i can think of at the mo. I'd go over the D4 again to be 100% and the grounds

Getting close though. :yum:

Couldnt let it run for long as no exhaust and neighbour works nights and was asleep  but couldnt resist trying now :D and mrs has really bad migraine.next on the list is the exhaust but cant be bothered today  its running thats good enough now for the long bit of doing all the silly bits but as i said as of tuesday im off till the 1st march so want to take it for mot the day i go back to work and then tax it as its insured anyway :D:D

At last! Congratulations!

What was it?

where i was swapping the d4 wires round i had just used push together bullet connectors for ease and speed to swap wires but obviously they are no good when you want to start the car as all i did in the end was take the loom to work soldered the wires up and heat shrunk the wires so they are sealed and plugged it all back in and put the spark plugs back in leads on and hey presto :D:D:D

Fingers crossed it fires straight up and idles when your allowed to try it next. If your having to keep your floor on the gas to keep it idling it may be that your ICV is dead and stuck shut. Youll find out soon enough.

Getting there. (y)

Dan

didnt give it the chance to just idle just wanted to give it a clear out see if it picked ok as had to get it shut down asap but im getting the exhaust done asap so i can get it running and ive got spare sensors if needed, hoping to have the exhaust finished and on for wednesday (y) then will see about the idling side of things
cant wait for mot day now :yum::yum::yum:

Congrats on the start (y) Bad news is that your ECU is still very upset about something (n) As suggested already I would be looking into the stepper motor, and also the MAP sensor connection / signal (y)
