do it!!!! Do it asap!!!!!:d:d:d

Your whole post seems to be in lowercase... including the quote of me :p

I rely on the car too much to be able to take it off the road for a while to do this sort of thing, plus I'm 220 miles from home & tools while I'm doing a work placement...

...also I'd have to actually ring around for modified insurance and speak to people, instead of being able to just go on a comparison site, meh.

Plus I may as well wait for you to finish, and use this thread as a shopping list ;)

I've still got these wheels sitting around too.

buy another cinq thats got a knackered engine and box and do it to that then u will still have ur run about which is exactly what ive done, well i got the free cinq but i was going to buy one so i could do the conversion(y)

Bit more wiring confusion i think its the bullet connector i have got confused over but if thats the case i have connected the punto blk/red wire to the red battery wire is this wrong and it should goto the connector im lost on and now the soldering iron i bought has screwed up it melts solder and the plastic casing round the wires but it wont melt the solder when its on the wire and u wouldnt believe how stressed this is making me....already started arguement with the mrs help quick plz:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

The bullet connector is the single pin connector you find next to those 2 plugs!

And blue black from the punto D4 is the right wire. Without it the pump will not prime and stop priming.

I can't really the female bullet connector in the picture?

PS the 2 plugs you got in the picture are NOT bullet connector.

Bullet connector is like the plug to the oil pressure sensor, but slightly bigger. Hope that gives u a better idea!

You can't solder wires like that easily. The reason it is melting all the plastic is because the core is sinking all the heat away from the iron. (I use crimp connectors and a blow-torch thick cables)

What are you trying to do, what have you done so far? It's not too clear from your post.

i havent got a single female bullet connector under the tray just the 2 in the pic and there are 2 wires into each a red and a black one pair thick one pair thin

Trust me you do!!!! You need to look hard at it. !!! Like look at the cinq sporting loom, i think there is a male connection on that. I cut that male off and soldered it onto the punto D$ with an extra length of wire.

been outside and found the single male on the cinq loom but defo nothing under the battery tray to connect it to so even more confused now:confused:
the single male connector on the loom runs straight to a 15amp fuse and there at the fuse its joined by a brown wire from the relay fuse

Hmmm, hope i remember right.

But the cinq loom should have 2 bullet connector? AS one of them is to oil pressure, then one to the bullet connector.

Yeah fuse and to relay is right, as this wires sends power to the fuel pump.

P.S there is defo a bullet connector!

the thin red and thin black wire are for the dash warning lights for alt and battery and that explains the connector plug still baffled by the single connector as to where that has disappeared to had a light and mirror under battery tray and still cant see it:rolleyes:

weird, may be don't have one. does the pump stop priming?

i have just been under and undone all the wiring clips that hold everything in place just in case it had spun round????? and was hiding but once all wiring removed there is only throttle cable and bonnet pull cable left under the battery tray.....no single connection:confused:
fuel pump keeps going as fuel line isnt attached to anything so pressure doesnt build yet but all electrics work in the car....u confused yet ming lol:D
