That'll work. Not 100% sure it will fit, though.

believe me it will defo fit by the time i finish with it even if the cat gets cut out and just weld straight bit of pipe in there but would rather not have to start chopping as its only a temp manifold so want to put as little work into it as possible (y)
cheers for the replies....(y)

Right where do i start i have 3 bar pressure but i cant see any spark!!!! cps is brand new and works on other cinq as do coil packs got 12v down to both coil packs as well and is the firing order as per the mk1 punto sporting coil pack holder???....HELP PLZ STRESS LEVELS RISING:bang::bang:

tries to start with easy start and cps only plugs into the connector one way and cps works on the blue cinq so i know it works fine...no code light fuel pump primes got fuel in the fuel rail @ 3 bar and 12v at the injectors...could it be the injectors not putting fuel into the engine??:bang::bang::bang:

Fuel past the injectors?

If the CPS works on the other car (mind you, they're so fragile I'd not really want to try that) and you're getting no spark and no fuel past the injectors, then the CPS isn't working on this car. No fuel paast the injectors and no spark can only mean a CPS issue.

Placement is critical. Not just in terms of the air gap, but of being centrally placed -- IIRC, Kris used a different oil pump, Arc and Aaron made new brackets. If a working CPS can't see the indents on the timing pulley, it won't work.

@ fingers, but it tries to start more so with easy start so must be a spark for it to attempt to run but no fuel....spoke to my mate about the fuel pressure and i have it at 3 bar when its priming but what about when its actually spinning over does the pressure drop so its not getting thru the injectors??? this i dont know till the morning
kris said all i had to do was move to outer alt pulley round to where the nipple/hole line up point as he had it at different point for his ecu thats it!!!

m6 earth cable on ecu casing?

could be a few things, give 12v directly to an injector and see if you can feel it clock as its only a solenoid

another way have someone crank the car over and hold the crank sensor close to some bit of metal, each time thats done and its the problem car should atleast fart or attempt to fire that once

Been having a chat with dan and have a few things to try to resolve the non starting tomorrow, the main one i have concerns about is the 5 into 1 wire connection for the earths in the punto engine loom and one is for spark and one goes to injector loom so going to reposition them from the gearbox selector casing to a more suitable earth about 5 inches away....the main gearbox to inner wing earth see if that makes any difference...will report back tomorrow with results (y)

in the meantime
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE :D:D:D:D
